A free music project to help combat isolation has been launched by an Epping Forest charity.

A Musical Community is being organised by Voluntary Action Epping Forest and the project will run for 12 weeks and is open to adults of all ages.

Created with funding from Let's Get Connected, the sessions will encourage people to enjoy music and make new friends in a friendly, relaxed and welcoming environment.

The project is taking place in two locations – one on Tuesdays from 4.30pm to 7pm at The Space, Epping Forest District Museum in Sun Street, Waltham Abbey EN9 1EL, and the other on Thursdays from 1pm to 3.30pm at the Harvey Centre, Harlow, CM20 1XR.

Marc Balkham from Voluntary Action Epping Forest, who is running the A Musical Community, said: “This project is a great way for people with a love of music to come together and listen to, chat about and even make music.

"A shared love of music is an amazing way to create friendships”.
