The Bexley Health and Wellbeing bus will be visiting the Borough to provide the community with advice and support with their mental and physical health and wellbeing.

From the 17th-23rd January 2022, during Bexley Wellbeing Week, representatives from voluntary groups as well as health professionals will be available on the bus to offer free tips and support on improving health and wellbeing.

The bus will be stationed in the following areas, running from 9am to 5pm - Monday to Saturday:

  • Clocktower, Bexleyheath Broadway - 17th-21st January
  • Cygnet Square, Thamesmead SE2 9FA - 22nd January
  • The Clocktower at Bexleyheath Broadway - 24th January
  • Belvedere Baptist Church, 50 Nuxley Road DA17 5JG - 25th-28th January

On the bus, you can take a lateral flow test, learn about the vaccine for COVID-19 as well as the flu, talk to wellbeing ambassadors about how to keep an active mind and body, or get information on weight management and mental health.

The bus will focus on the six ways to wellbeing: connecting with others, physical activity, trying new hobbies, giving to causes, spending time outside in nature, and being mindful and paying attention to the moment.

Dr Clive Anggiansah - Bexley’s GP clinical lead, from the Lyndhurst Medical Centre, said, “During the winter, it is more important than ever that people in Bexley can easily get information not only about vaccines for COVID-19 and flu, but how to keep well during the colder months more generally. The roving health and wellbeing bus is an important part of our efforts to make sure people can get the right information.”

This incredible bus will be on tour across the borough this January, with future events planned in the upcoming months to help the community. For more information on Health and Wellbeing Bus events, visit: https://www.bexley.gov.uk/events?category=All&date=All&page=0.
