In the 21st Century, teenagers have been showing stress rates that have been so high it has carried severe signs of depression and anxiety. One of the few ways teenagers have been trying to relax is through expressing themselves through art and being able to do whatever they want to.

Art has been diverse and has many different forms that involves creativity, freedom to express yourself in any way possible and considering that there is no general definition for what art meaning that people can draw anything and express themselves in any way and it would still be considered art. Nowadays, the technique of art has been used in therapy as a form of relaxation which has helped a lot of teenagers feel relaxed and able to express themselves in a much more sincere way.

Students doing art for their GCSEs and A-Levels have also commented saying, “Art is one of the few ways an individual can express himself the most”. The students contribute some of their lessons learning about how they can help their friends and family alike who go through a lot of stress by allowing them to relax and be able to calm down. Schools are trying to enforce their art departments to teach their students how to help their close ones and at the same time raise awareness of stress and how it affects the human mind.

There are now art clubs and sessions all over London that not only help those trying to relieve stress but also makes it a hobby for people so that they can overtime grow it out as a skill that they are adept at.
