The SpaceX zillionaire has a legacy cryogenically frozen by his ex, Grimes. Yet looking at the creative insults he so generously dishes out, he has escaped relatively unscathed.

Elon Musk’s tweets from his “porcelain throne” rattle the economy, yet he cannot maintain his relationship. Said ex Grimes, in her song “Player of Games”, describes their relationship; “I'm in love with the greatest gamer / But he'll always love the game / More than he loves me”. This proves where he said his work at SpaceX and Tesla was a big reason for their breakup.

TIME’s 2021 Person of the Year is an eccentric, a creative with a vision to save our planet then inhabit another, all with the personality of an edgy teenager. He tosses satellites into orbit like we would paper into a bin. SpaceX’s success over Boeing and NASA, and Tesla’s reign over the electric car market have led to his being the richest person in history, with three hundred billion dollars.

She could have snapped back the way Musk did to Bernie Sanders: “I keep forgetting you’re still alive.” She could have said something about his immature jokes: “Tesla blows haha”. She could have commented on his unorthodox new haircut, strikingly similar to that of Kim Jong-Un’s.

I’m not auditioning to be Grimes’ ghostwriter (though I most definitely would). I’m just saying that a breakup with a musician will certainly result in immortalisation through the power of art.

Humankind blooms new, never seen ideas to save our planet, at the brink of our extinction. I just hope Musk has enough time to solve our climate crisis, and his life’s work pays off.

In TIME’s words: Get in, loser. We’re going to Mars.
