Liverpool ended Arsenal’s ten game unbeaten run at Anfield, with a convincing 4-0 win to climb up to third place in the Premier League table.

The game started slowly only coming to life after a touchline spat between Liverpool and Arsenal managers Jurgan Klopp and Mikel Arteta. Sadio Mane opened the scoring in the 39th minute with a great header from a Trent Alexander-Arnold free kick that bounced past the Arsenal keeper, Aaron Ramsdale, and into the bottom right corner. Liverpool then doubled their score with Diego Jota capitalising off Arsenal left back, Nuno Tavarez’s, mistake with a great bit of skill to pass the keeper and roll the ball into an empty net.

Mo Salah then got his eleventh goal of the season as Diego Jota played in Sadio Mane who made a great run then dragged it across the box to Salah who just had to tap it in at the far post. Just four minutes later, Alexander-Arnold got his second assist of the game setting up Japanese substitute, Takumi Minamino, who made it 4-0 with his first goal of the season.

It was a very one-sided game, as Jurgan Klopp's side dominated possession throughout and created all the best chances, with Arsenal keeper, Aaron Ramsdale, repeatedly having to pull out some great saves to keep Arsenal in it. Arsenal did not really threaten either, with Liverpool keeper, Allison, having little to do all game. Overall, it was an extremely comfortable win for Liverpool who, after a bad spell of drawing with Brighton at home and losing to West Ham, seem to have recovered some form over the international break. This result leaves Liverpool third place in the premier league, 4 points off the league leaders Chelsea, and only a point behind reigning Premier League champions Manchester city.
