The mighty Bees put a huge dent in Everton's European hopes, by taking a vital three points at the Brentford community stadium!

It was a crisp, chilly winter afternoon at the Brentord community stadium. The game today was massive for both team, Brentford and Everton were both without a win since October, so it was a major three points for the winners today. Both teams were fired up and raring to go! The jubiliant sound of Hey Jude rang around the stadium, which gave the players an extra pump!

The Bees started off on the front foot with a few quick attacks, before winning a corner. The first corner was whipped in by Sergio Canos, before being headed back out by Rondon. The second corner was much better but it was cleared to the edge of the box, where Frank Onyeka was clipped by a high boot from Townsend. At first the referee waved play on, but following a short check from VAR, the descision was overturned and a penalty was given to Brentford. The stadium was tense and Toney cooly stepped up to take. He took a few paces backwards and slotted it home! The home fans went wild. Everton then began to play back into the game, but the Bees held them off until half time.

The second half commenced, and the players legs began to give in. The performance seriously began to deteriorate. Everton were really pishing for a winner but the Bees managed to keep their cool and see the game out! Takining a vital three points from the match!

It goes to show, the best wins are not always the most asthetically pleasing.
