A man has died after being hit by a van in Ilford.
Emergency were rushed to Eastern Avenue on Tuesday, November 23, after receiving reports of a crash involving a van and a pedestrian around 8.06pm.
The pedestrian, a 54-year-old man, was rushed to hospital.
But despite the best efforts of paramedics and medical staff, he died on Wednesday, November 24.
The man's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the van stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam or doorbell footage of the incident to contact police by calling 101 and quoting CAD 6542/23.
