South West London NHS and Wandsworth Council are hosting a webinar about the Covid-19 vaccination programme for 12 to 15-year olds.

The webinar aims to discuss the benefits of the vaccine and how the rollout is working in schools across Wandsworth.

Parents and carers can also put forward any questions or concerns regarding the vaccination programme.

The event will be taking place virtually on Tuesday, November 23 at 6.30pm.

Wandsworth Council’s Director of Public Health, Shannon Katiyo, will be directing the one-hour virtual event, alongside local healthcare professionals.

Chief Pharmacist and Panel Member, Sedina Agama said: “As winter approaches, it’s more important than ever that we all protect ourselves against COVID-19.

"For young people of this age group, having the jab means less disruption to school life and protection from the risk of serious illness or the effects of long COVID.”

There are walk-in vaccine clinics across South West London, including Queen Mary’s Vaccination Centre in Roehampton - with more details on the NHS South West London walk-in pages.

Vaccinations for 12 to 15-year-olds have been taking place in schools since October.

Children within this age group are also eligible to receive their first vaccination at walk-in clinics or through booking a slot on the National Booking System if accompanied with a parent or carer.

More details can be found on the NHS South West London website.

Registrations for the virtual event can be made in advance.
