Local Italian trattoria owner, Luigi Funedda, decides to revamp restaurant after nearly a decade of running 182 Queens Road as ‘il Bacio.’

Luigi’s Sardinan style dining, as well as barber business out back, became a hit for the locals of Buckhurst Hill. After temporarily leaving his team to spend the summer with his mum in Siniscola, he came to the difficult decision of wanting to spend more time in his homeland in the South of Olbia.

Once what was named ‘il Bacio’ will now be ‘Locanda Da Luigi’. Instead of selling his business, he decided to approach two friends who were fellow restaurant owners of ‘Arte e Pasta’ and ‘BombettaLondon’ to further develop his joint.

“I spent my 17th birthday in il Bacio for drinks and a lovely meal. I will miss it but I can't wait to see the new place!” Tilly Kent, local teen living in Buckhurst Hill.

‘il Bacio' closed on the 11th of October 2021 and is said to be open as ‘Locanda Da Luigi’ sometime this month (November). Be sure to stay alert of new information on their instagram @locandadaluigi for updates.
