A writer from Deptford is bringing his hit Coronavirus-themed show to a theatre in the area at the end of this month.

Coronavirus – A Great British Farce will be performed at Matchstick Piehouse theatre in Deptford on November 25.

Writer-director team consisting of local Mark Daniels and Edwina Strobl bring this satirical comedy as a unique take on the British response to the pandemic.

The Camden-Fringe show is inspired by writer Mark Daniels’ lockdown diaries – and shows one character stuck in a tiny flat trying to make sense of the pandemic.

The play has two actors in total who are set to take audiences on a high-energy journey from panic buying to Matt Hancock.

Producers describe it as “absurd laugh-out-loud comedy at it’s best” and “definitely not one to be missed”.

The show is brought to audiences in partnership with charity Campaign to End Loneliness.

The Camden Fringe show will also visit Brighton, Canal Café Theatre in London, Norwich and Birmingham on its tour.
