The latest case rates have been released for every local authority area in England and in most of them, Covid infections are falling.

Nationally, 310 out of the 377 local areas in England (82 per cent) have seen a fall in cases, and 66 (18 per cent) have seen a rise.

One is unchanged.

These figures are accurate for the seven days to October 30 – with most recent days excluded for accuracy.

They are compared with a week prior – the seven days to October 23.

The figures are based on the number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 in either a lab-reported or rapid lateral flow test, by specimen date.

The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 people.

Bexley

The Covid rate in Bexley is 301.6 (752 cases), having fallen from 339.7 (847 cases).

The Government's coronavirus dashboard shows 587 people had died in the area by November 3 (Wednesday) – which was unchanged from Tuesday.

It means there have been two deaths in the past week, which is the same as the previous week.

Bromley

In Bromley, the rate has fallen from 300.8 (1,001 cases) to 291.8 (971 cases).

The Government's coronavirus dashboard shows 653 people had died in the area by November 3 (Wednesday) – up from 652 on Tuesday.

It means there has been one death in the past week, which is the same as the previous week.

Greenwich

Greenwich's rate has fallen to 222.8 (644 cases) from 260.2 (752 cases).

It means there have been three deaths in the past week, which is an increase on one the previous week.

Lewisham

In Lewisham, the case rate is 191.0 (583 cases), having fallen from a rate of 223.1 (681 cases).

The Government's coronavirus dashboard shows 557 people had died in the area by November 3 (Wednesday) – which was unchanged from Tuesday.

It means there have been three deaths in the past week, which is an increase on two the previous week.

Southwark

The coronavirus rate in Southwark is 175.3 (561 cases), dropping from 183.1 (586 cases) the week before.

It means there has been one death in the past week, which is the same as the previous week.

Dartford

Nearby in Dartford, the rate is 501.5 (572 cases), having fallen from 626.9 (715 cases).

79 people had died in the area by November 3 (Wednesday) – which was unchanged from Tuesday.

It means there have been two deaths in the past week.
