British Transport Police are appealing for information after a man was violently assualted at Woolwich Arsenal DLR station.
At around 11.55am on September 10, a man got off a train at the station and punched a passenger waiting on the platform.
As the victim ran away, the man chased him and pulled him to the ground where he continued to punch and kick him in the head and upper body before walking away.
The men were not known to each other and the victim attended hospital for treatment to severe facial injuries, including a broken tooth and split lip.
Officers believe the man in the CCTV image may have information which could help their investigation.
Anyone who recognises him or has any information should contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 50 quoting reference 261 of 10/09/21.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Do you recognise this man?
"Officers investigating a violent assault against a man at Woolwich Arsenal DLR station are today releasing this CCTV image in connection.
"At around 11.55am on Friday 10 September, a man got off a train at the station and punched a passenger waiting on the platform. As the victim ran away, the man chased him and pulled him to the ground where he continued to punch and kick him in the head and upper body before walking away.
"The men were not known to each other and the victim attended hospital for treatment to severe facial injuries, including a broken tooth and split lip.
"Officers believe the man in the CCTV image may have information which could help their investigation.
