A fire in a flat on the 10th floor of a block has broken out this morning in Battersea.

Around 40 firefighters and six fire engines are on the scene in Dagnall Street.

The London Fire Brigade said the fire is under control after firefighters worked "quickly and exceptionally hard" to contain the blaze to the 10th floor flat.

A number of people self-evacuated while others remained in their unaffected flats.

There are no reports of any injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the fire brigade.
