Police and ambulance crews have rushed to the scene of a 'serious accident' in Swanley this afternoon.
The air ambulance has been called, and there are unconfirmed reports that a cyclist has been hit by a bin lorry.
The incident has seen Main Road closed in both direction and queueing traffic, and early reports said there was a "serious accident involving a bin lorry" on the junction of New Road and Swanley Lane.
A spokesperson for police said: "Kent Police was called at 11.35am on 15 September to a collision at the junction of New Road and Swanley Lane, Swanley.
"Officers and ambulance crews are at the scene and roads closures are currently in place."
It is not yet known if there have been any casaulties.
The road remains closed for investigation.
