THE community joined together for a fundraising summer party in aid of a hospice.
The event was held on Thursday 29 July from 5pm to 10pm at the Redchurch Brewery in Harlow.
The party raised more than £3,000 for the hospice service with plenty of fun and merriment.
A spokesman for St Clare Hospice said: “We’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to our St Clare Summer Party and we’re delighted to announce that together, we raised more than a whopping £3,000 for our hospice.
“The sun was shining, the birds were singing - and the drinks were flowing at our very own Harlow brewery, Redchurch Brewery. We had a blast at our first Summer Party, and we hope you all did too.
“Special thanks to all who helped make this happen, including our very own St Clare volunteers, as well as The Slow Dough Pizza Co, ques idea Mexican Kitchen, Stort Valley Spirits and of course, Redchurch, for hosting. Thank you also to Lydia Lucy for her incredible vocal performance. We loved singing along.”
