Highways South East has reported that there are currently long delays on the M25 from J2 to the A282 at Dartford Tunnels after four separate vehicles have broken down.

The latest, and fourth vehicle to breakdown within the last hour, is located in the east (right) tunnel - forcing it to have to be closed.

Highways England said "officers are working to clear these breakdowns as fast as possible".

This is the only tunnel which is closed at this time.

It follows an initial two breakdowns (one in each tunnel) - reported at around 4.55pm.

Both of those tunnels have now reopened "very long delays of 45-60 minutes" on the anti-clockwise M25 from J2 to the Crossing.

A third vehicle also broke down in the west (left) tunnel - reported at around 5.06pm.

That has now been cleared and that tunnel is now open as well.
