A man in his 50s has been rushed to hospital where he is fighting for his life after sustaining a head injury in a violent assault in north Kent.

The victim was allegedly attacked by three people during an incident in Westerham at 9:15pm on Sunday, July 18.

A man and a teenage boy have now been arrested on suspicion of assault.

Police were called to the disturbance on London Road, near the junction with Fullers Hill on Sunday.

During the incident, it is alleged a man in his 50s was assaulted by three people. He sustained a head injury and was conveyed to a London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Enquiries continuing at the scene, and Kent Police said a man and a teenage boy had been arrested.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses and those with dashcam footage to come forward to aid their investigation.
