NORTHWOOD College for Girls has a transformed sixth-form pavilion.

The interior walls of the original building were demolished to create a huge open-plan study space with acoustic ceiling, feature lighting and new sound system.

The new kitchenette includes a central wigwam style ‘collaboration’ table, as well as booths for quiet independent and group study.

There is also a new careers library and fitness suite with 16 work-out stations.

A school spokesman said: “Our objective was to create the perfect working environment and [it] has exceeded all expectations.

“At times it is filled with laughter as the girls enjoy their coffees and relax in comfort. At other times, you can hear a pin drop as they use tranquil space to become absorbed with their studies.”
