PATIENTS and supporters of Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals will be taking part in a walk through central London on Sunday, July 25.
They will be raising funds to help make a stay at the hospitals a home away from home.
The London Bridges Walk, organised by Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity, will follow a route past most famous landmarks and crosses six bridges along the Thames.
It will be the first large, in-person event the charity has organised since the start of the pandemic.
Among many projects it has supported over the years, the patients’ fund has provided camp beds so families of patients can sleep overnight in the wards and iPads to occupy children.
Places are still available for the London Bridges Walk and can be found at https://www.rbhcharity.org/Event/bridges-walk21
All participants will get a T-shirt and a medal.
