Three foxes have been found either dead or severely injured in a woodland area in Bexley.
All found in a woodland area at Foots Cray Meadows, one fox was discovered already dead, whilst the other two were still alive, but had to be later euthanised for humane reasons.
Bexley Police have released an appeal following the sickening discovery, with the foxes reportedly discarded close together in the south east London woodland.
Anyone with information should get in touch with police by calling 101 quoting ref 4276/08Jul.
Last month several hundred dead fish were also discovered, likely killed by an unknown pollutant.
The Environment Agency said they had investigated and found several hundred dead fish in the River Shuttle in the nearby Bexley Woods, but the cause of the deaths had already likely washed away.
