A female cyclist in her 40s was rushed to hospital after she was hit by a van in Lewisham this morning.
Ambulance services attended the scene shortly before 9am on Lewisham High Street, which was closed both ways.
The cyclist was taken to a London hospital where her injuries were deemed non-life threatening.
I’m so sorry to hear this. I hope the cyclist is OK. A segregated cycle lane on the A21 ‘Lewisham Spine’ has been something we have been asking for from TfL for a number of years. Initial studies have been done but so far no commitment from them to fund it.https://t.co/atrhiaGJdb

The van stopped at the scene. No arrests have been made at this time, as enquiries into the circumstances continue.
Road closures have now been lifted.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:"We were called at 8.57am this morning (July 9) to Lewisham High Street, SE13, to reports of a road traffic collision.
"We sent an incident response officer, a clinical team manager and an ambulance crew to the scene.
“We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.
“Another London Ambulance Service crew passing the scene moments after the call also stopped to assist.
"We treated a woman at the scene and took her to a major trauma centre by road."
