Three people have been arrested following an early morning police raid targeting suspected drug dealers in Harlow.

Officers executed the warrant at The Stow shortly after 8am this morning (Tuesday, July 6).

Suspected cannabis, phones and a powder – believed to be amphetamines – were recovered after a search led by sniffer dog PD Dex.

Detectives from CID, officers from the Community Policing Team and Crime Scene Investigators also assisted to ensure a thorough search of the house.

Suspected stolen property was recovered. If proven to be so, Essex Police says it will seek to return it to its ‘rightful’ owners in due course.

Sergeant James Bull, of the West Disruptor Team, said: "Drugs have no place in our town and people who sell them exploit the most vulnerable in our communities.

"Thanks to today's excellent teamwork, we've managed to take dangerous substances out of local circulation."

Three people remain in custody, having been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences.

A 25-year-old man and a 34-year old woman, both of Harlow, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B drugs, possession of cannabis, and counterfeit currency.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs, four burglaries, two attempted burglaries, two incidents of criminal damage, attempted arson and breach of court bail.
