A teen has been charged with murder after a 26-year-old Lewisham man was fatally stabbed at an illegal rave in a Bermondsey industrial unit.
Police were called to the "unlicensed music event" on Stockholm Road, next to The Den, at around 11.50pm on Saturday, June 26, where they found Jason Nyarko suffering multiple injuries.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Jason was stabbed after a fight broke out.
A 16-year-old male was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning in connection with the incident.
On the evening of Tuesday, June 29, he was charged with Jason’s murder.
He will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 30.
Detectives continue to appeal for anyone who was at the event where Jason was attacked to come forward.
They are particularly appealing for anyone who filmed videos or took photos to share them using a dedicated online form.
