Several roads in and around Enfield are set to be temporarily closed for roadworks, starting tomorrow.

Notices from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield Independent detail the extent of the closures and any additional restrictions that may be required while the works are completed.

The closure on Thursday is due to apply from 8am to 6pm in Newsholme Drive, from a point in line with the northern flank wall of No. 2 to a point in line with the northern kerbline leading to Blake Court.

Motorists are set to be prevented from driving along a section of Pennington Drive for two days from Friday.

The road will be closed between its junction with Moynihan Drive and Macleod Road but the closure will only apply from 8am to 6pm.

This will also be the case on July 8 when a two-day closure is due to begin in Windsor Road, shutting the whole road between its junctions with Lightcliffe Road and Green Lane.

Hertford Road is set to be closed northbound for four nights from July 12 for the works between the junction with Unity Road and Ordnance Road.

From the same date and also for four nights, Ordnance Road is set to be shut westbound between Hartmoor Mews and Hertford Road.

Elsewhere from July 12, a section of Mapleton Road is due to be closed to vehicles between the junctions with Brick Lane and Broadfield Square for five days.
