A man has been charged in connection with a murder in Whetstone.

Mohammad Raza Gulzar, 29, died from a stab wound after he was attacked in High Road shortly before 10.24pm on Thursday June 17.

Mohammed was taken to hospital where he died two days later.

His family has been informed and a post-mortem examination was carried out at Haringey Mortuary and gave the cause of death as a stab wound.

The Metropolitan Police launched a murder investigation and established a crash and then a fight had taken place moments before the stabbing.

At least 12 men have been arrested in connection with the investigation and enquiries remain ongoing.

On Monday, the Met confirmed a man arrested on Saturday June 26 has been charged with Mohammad's murder.

  • Mohammed Abraheem Sikander, 22, of Dale Grove, North Finchley, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon (knife). He was set to appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday June 28.
