A BIOLOGY teacher in Southall is starring in a new film supporting the Get Into Teaching campaign from the Department for Education.
Jagpreet Hayre, of Dormers Wells High School, said: “Helping to shape the lives of the next generation on a daily basis is a real privilege.
“For me, you can’t beat the moments you see a student’s face light up when they learn something new in one of your lessons.”
The Get Into Teaching service has advisers available to give free support about training for the profession.
A new teacher will start on a minimum salary of £25-32,000 depending on location.
Jagpreet added: “Biology can help to explain all the processes happening inside of you and I strive to bring this to life in every lesson – simply because I want my students to love the subject, just as much as I do.
“I’m so proud to have contributed to [this] film, which celebrates teachers’ love for their favourite subjects.”
