The overwhelming majority of school children in Sutton secured a place at one of their preferred primary schools on the UK's National Offer Day 2021 (April 16).
Sutton Council has revealed that 97% of families in the borough who applied are being offered a place at one of their preferred options.
Council authorities confirmed that there was 2,563 Sutton resident applications for September 2021.
All pupils that applied have been offered a place at school and of those who applied, 2,440 (95%) of children received one of their top three preferences.
It was reported that 2,207 (86%) were offered their first preference school.
Sutton Council said the figures are 'very similar' to last year when 95% of children were offered a place at one of their top three preferred schools and 86% secured a place at their first preference school.
