The harrowing case of Sarah Everard sparked a fierce backlash from women in the UK and a growing social movement under the title 'Reclaim These Streets'.
The 'Reclaim These Streets' movement speaks on gender violence and the oppression and harassment of women in society.
They have gained thousands of supporters across the UK including in Sutton - which has led to a new group called 'Reclaim Sutton’s Streets'.
'Reclaim Sutton’s Streets' are calling on the public to help them "understand the level" of sexual assault and harassment in the borough.
They have launched an anonymous survey to help women and girls share their experiences and to see the level of unreported crimes within the area.
The campaign group say that the survey will also explore how safe women feel when they are outside of their homes.
Group member Vanessa Hill said: “We know that women and girls face sexual harassment as they walk the streets and as they use public transport.
"We believe enough is enough and it is time to make a stand and create change.
"I would urge women and girls across our community to complete and share this survey, so we share their voices and push for change.”
