Plans have been unveiled for a new nursery in Eltham after a major reconstruction project at an old building site.

Fennies Nurseries, one of the south east's 'fastest expanding nursery groups', says it plans to open the new site by early September.

And the group say they're now looking forward to welcoming Eltham families, with spaces for up to 80 children aged under five.

The nursery will be based on Westmount Road, Eltham, in the shell of a former building which is currently being reconstructed.

And Fennies Eltham will feature a number of positive features, including a garden custom-designed for young children and a 'sensory experience' for babies.

The nursery will also off a space for parents to work or relax while their child plays, as well as an app-based chef-prepared meal service called Fennies Fresh, from which parents can order dinner during the day, and pick up when collecting their kids.

The nursery group Fennies, which started in the early 1990s, has a track record of redeveloping often former derelict or poorly utilised spaces, into light, welcoming, tech-enabled nurseries, some of which have received architectural accolades.

Steven Fenn, CEO and co-founder of Fennies, commented: “We’re delighted to be launching Eltham following extensive reconstruction of the nursery, to create a bespoke environment designed specifically with early years in mind.

"Our award-winning nurseries are known as a place for parents and children to learn, play, and be part of a community and we look forward to welcoming Eltham families.”
