PEOPLE across Brighton and Hove are waking up to snow this morning.

A small amount of snow began to fall across the city shortly before 8am amid temperatures of about 1c.

The Met Office predicts the white stuff will continue to fall until about 9am before turning into rain as the mercury rises.

Temperatures will remain cold today, reaching highs of 7c.

Those looking to enjoy pub gardens as coronavirus restrictions ease will need to pack a few extra layers before heading out.

Speckles were captured falling near the King Alfred in Hove and a larger amount was caught falling on rooftops by a resident nearby.
