A community project that has been helping those in need throughout the pandemic will be offering its vital service over the Easter weekend thanks to the dedication of its selfless volunteers.

The 3food4u charity will be open on Good Friday and Easter Monday but its own Easter (Mersaiders) Bunny has already been busy, giving out Easter Eggs throughout this week.

These have been donated by Treats for Kids and the Morrisons store in Loughton among others.

The Rotary Club-backed charity has also announced a partnership with Sainsbury’s, in Ongar. The store will be accepting donations for any non-perishable food people would like to give for those who need help.

3food4u took part in last week’s National Day of Reflection, which marked the anniversary of the first lockdown, and were interviewed by Heart and LBC Radio.
