WORK has started on the industrial sector in the transformation of the former Nestles site in Hayes..

SEGRO Park Hayes will have four units, the largest of which is already pre-let. Of the other three, one will be particularly suited for a data centre.

The new units going up at the former Nestle chocolate and coffee factory are expected to create up to 350 jobs.

Cllr Jonathan Bianco, cabinet member for property and infrastructure in Hillingdon, said: “This work compliments our town centre investment programme. I look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have in Hayes once complete.”

SEGRO Park is part of the wider re-generation by Barratt London, involving 1,300 new homes on the remainder of the site.
