DETECTIVES are re-appealing for people’s help on the four-year anniversary of the murder of Satnam Singh in Hayes.

Crimestoppers are also announcing a £10,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for his death.

Satnam was attacked in Attlee Road near the junction with Ayles Road, Barnhill, as he walked with a friend on March 6 2017, at around 10.20pm.

At the time, a witness reported seeing a man speaking into a mobile phone and following the pair along Ayles Road.

A car then drove up and a group of suspects got out and attacked Satnam and his friend before driving off.

Satnam was taken to hospital but his condition deteriorated and he never recovered. He died from his injuries on May 23.

His friend, a 28-year-old man, was not seriously injured in the incident. No arrests have been made to date.

Det Insp Louise Caveen, leading the investigation, said: “Sadly, Satnam’s uncle, who spoke of his family’s grief back in 2017, has passed away without seeing his nephew’s killer brought to justice.

“His uncle spoke of how the whole family were devastated by the attack and how they were desperate to understand why their relative was killed and who is responsible.

“Despite the passage of time, we still retain an open mind about why Satnam was attacked. I hope that now anyone who was reluctant to speak with officers in 2017 may feel able to come forward.

“We are also keen to speak to anyone who knew Satnam at the time, who may be able to provide further information on his lifestyle and extended family.”

Alexa Loukas, London Regional Manager at the charity Crimestoppers, said: “We are offering this substantial reward as, despite Satnam’s tragic death over four years ago, his killers are still at large.”

To be eligible for the reward, your information must be given to Crimestoppers rather than the police. Call 0800 555 111 or go on to crimestoppers-uk-org anonymously.
