A murder investigation has been launched after the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old man in Abbey Wood yesterday evening (March 6).
Police, who described the case as "tragic", said they were called around 5.34pm to "reports of a fight" on Edington Road in Abbey Wood.
There, they and paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS) found an 18-year-old man with a stab wound to the chest.
He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said his next of kin were informed and are now being supported by specialist officers.
A formal identification is yet to take place.
Meanwhile officers from the Met's Specialist Crime Command are carrying out enquiries and a crime scene remains in place at the scene on Edington Road.
Detective Sergeant Michael Hartley said: "A young man has lost his life in the most tragic circumstances and officers will work round the clock to bring those responsible to justice.
"We are still in the early stages of the investigation and I would ask anybody who was in the area yesterday evening - or who has information about the attack - to contact us immediately."
There have been no arrests.
