Dramatic footage of the raid that witnessed the arrest of a Greenwich drug dealer supplying Dartford and Gravesend has been published by Kent Police.

On Saturday, March 6, the county police force uploaded a short video containing clips of their raid that resulted in the arrest of Billy George at his home in Greenwich last year.

George was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court to three years and four months’ imprisonment on Friday (March 5).

The 28-year-old previously admitted possessing heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine with intent to supply, as well as handling stolen goods and possessing cannabis.

The footage uploaded by Kent Police alongside news of George's sentencing showed the dramatic moments police officers ambushed him on December 9 after storming into his home in Greenwich.

Subsequent videos uploaded by Kent Police showed dozens of 'wraps' made up of heroin and cocaine inside his bedroom and a void inside a hallway cupboard.

"George was a key player in the ‘H’ line and our enquiries led us straight to his front door, investigating officer PC Michael Kiernan said.

"He went to great lengths to hide a lot of the drugs and paraphernalia by cutting a void in a cupboard and hiding the items, along with the stolen car keys.

"Drugs not only destroy the lives of the user, but their friends and families are also affected by them and we will not tolerate this criminality in the towns," he added.
