EALING Half Marathon, buoyed by the success of last year’s sell-out event, is planning the next instalment of Queen of the Suburbs, its community challenge.

This year, there is a twist as it is not limited to those in Ealing. There is an option to use any park around the world.

At the inaugural event in September, competitors walked, ran or even pushed buggies around 13 borough parks.

Entrants have the whole of April to complete the challenge and, once the event finishes and they have ticked off the 13 parks, they receive a Queen of the Suburbs medal in the post.

The challenge fee of £15 includes medal and postage plus a processing fee of 79p for UK entrants or £20 plus a processing fee of £1.05 for international entrants.

Last year's Ealing Half Marathon was cancelled due to COVID-19, with all entries automatically transferred to this year’s event on Sunday, September 26.

The four official race charities for 2021 are Cancer Research UK, Alzheimer’s Society, Macmillan Cancer Support and Meadow House Hospice, Ealing.
