The countdown is on for outdoor drinking after the Government unveiled its roadmap out of lockdown last week.

From April 12 groups of up to six people can attend restaurants and pubs provided there is outdoor seating.

With one month to go, The Wandsworth Times has rounded up some of the borough’s best boozers that are now taking bookings.

The Kings Arms, Wandsworth

A circus themed garden is not what you would expect from a corner-pub on Wandsworth High Street. Inside, you can clown around with friends in the 'big top hut,’ which is completely covered and heated.

The Coat and Badge, Putney

Away from the crowds of Putney High Street, a hedge encloses this spacious beer garden. The outside area is covered, offering protection against whatever the great British weather has in store.

The Ship, Wandsworth

One of the most popular pubs along the River Thames, with lots of food stalls to choose from, it's an ideal spot to grab a cocktail and watch the sun go down.

The Devonshire, Balham

Few would expect a ski chalet in the heart of Balham. But the Devonshire offers an Apres Ski party atmosphere, with cosy heated ski chalets and cheese fondue.

Queen Adelaide, Wandsworth

Situated between Wandsworth and Putney this pub is known for its lively German Beer Garden. Step outside and be transported to a Bavarian Beer tent, complete with gingham tablecloths and heaters.

The Castle, Tooting

Established in 1832, The Castle is an old feature of Tooting’s busy high street. The heated beer garden has seven castle huts available for hire and plenty of outdoor tables.
