A child has been rushed to hospital after a collision outside a school in Blackfen, Sidcup and is currently in an unknown condition.
Road closures are in place at the scene, but no arrests have been made after the driver stopped at the scene.
It is understood the child was struck by a car outside the Blackfen School for Girls.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said they were called at around 2:14pm on Monday, February 22, to reports of a collision.
A car and a pedestrian had reportedly collided in Blackfen Road in the borough of Bexley.
"Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.
"A child (no further details) was taken to hospital. We wait an update on their condition."
They added that the driver of the car stopped at the scene, there have been no arrests, and road closures remain in place whilst enquiries continue.
Welling Police also tweeted out warning that they were dealing with a road traffic collision outside Blackfen School for Girls.
"Please avoid the area whilst emergency services deal with the incident."
