A Lewisham councillor has passed away, it was announced today (February 17).
Bellingham ward Cllr Sue Hordijenko was elected in 2016 after a by-election.
She represented the Bellingham ward along with Cllr Alan Hall and Cllr Jacq Paschoud.
In a statement Lewisham Mayor Damien Egan said: “I am deeply saddened by the death of our friend and colleague Sue Hordijenko.
“Sue was a kind and compassionate councillor, who worked tirelessly to support the people she represented in Bellingham.
“Even if you had just met Sue, you instantly felt like you were talking to a friend.
“She was a popular and respected figure at the council and will be deeply missed by many.
“My thoughts and prayers are with Sue’s family and friends.”
