PREPARATION work has started on The Verdean in Acton, a regeneration scheme that aims to build 990 homes.
It follows planning permission for developers Catalyst and Mount Anvil from Ealing Council.
In addition to the homes, a new commercial area and landscaped green spaces will also be created, a few minutes’ walk from the Acton mainline Crossrail station.
Cllr Julian Bell, leader of Ealing Council, said: “[It] will deliver a new neighbourhood in Acton, jobs and apprenticeships for local people during its construction and help us reach our target of delivering 2,500 genuinely affordable homes by April 2022.”
