Emergency roadworks are causing long tailbacks for drivers at a busy junction.
Temporary traffic lights are currently in place in Friern Barnet Road near New Southgate station.
The multi-way lights have been set up by Transport for London, according to traffic management website One Network, because of emergency gas works.
Over the weekend, the roadworks caused heavy traffic, particularly for drivers heading towards Bowes Road from Colney Hatch Lane, and it was the same again during this morning's rush hour.
The area remains slow even out of rush hour.
One Network reports the roadworks and temporary traffic lights will be in place until Friday (February 12).
Traffic is also currently busier than usual for this time of day on the A406 in both directions at the traffic lights where it meets Bowes Road.
