MESSAGES from celebrities as well as former patients and the general public are pouring in for staff at Harefield Hospital, who are treating some of the most severely ill Covid-19 patients.
Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity, the official charity of the two hospitals, wanted staff to know how much their work was appreciated.
It set up a virtual Care and Share noticeboard so members of the public could leave a message of thanks and support.
Queen guitarist Brian May said: “I am just full of admiration for what you're doing. You are the saviours. You are the fighters. All my love, and rock on.”
Actor and former footballer Vinnie Jones said: “Keep going strong. We need you. You're fantastic.”
Radio1 DJ Melvin Odoom said: “Everyone appreciates every last thing, every hour, every second, that you're putting into your work.”
Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood said: “You're amazing. Carry on doing what you're doing. Everyone appreciates it so much.”
Former patient Eugene said: “To all the wonderful team at Harefield and the other NHS hospitals. I owe you my life for the marvellous care before during and after the coma I was in during June 2020.”
Another anonymous message read: “Harefield hospital will always hold a special place in our hearts. The care and kindness they gave our Dad and our family during this pandemic was A-Maze-Ing!”
