Firearm alert as police surround Southall house
SPECIALIST firearms officers were on standby in Saxon Road, Southall yesterday afternoon (21) amid concerns for the welfare of a man inside a house.
The officers were present as a precautionary measure while a man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm and taken into custody.
Chief Supt Peter Gardner said: “We would like to thank residents for their patience and co-operation while we resolved this matter.”
