Staff at Deen City Farm have been left "heartbroken" after four of their ferrets were stolen last night. 

Deen City Farm reported that two men had stolen their beloved ferrets and made an attempt to steal their new baby goat at around 10 pm on Sunday ( December 20 ). 

Staff at the farm arrived to work at 8 am this morning ( December 21), to find that the ferret door had been broken into. 

A Deen City Farm spokesperson says that their CCTV cameras captured two men jumping the fence by the back track of their farm that leads to Morden Hall Park.

The farm, located next to the River Wandle, reported missing ferrets - Ororo, Madeline, Wade, and Logan, to Met Police this morning. 

The incident has since been posted on social media and has been shared far and wide in a bid to locate the animals. 

A spokesperson for Deen City Farm said: "Our livestock team are feeling disheartened and heartbroken by this situation.

"Our ferrets are utterly adored by staff, volunteers and members of the public especially Logan who’s an absolute little legend and an absolute favourite by everyone who meets him.

"We just want our ferrets to return safely."

Police have been contacted for comment.
