A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found stabbed to death in Croydon on Friday night.
Police have named the victim as Paul McCarroll, aged 45, and a 34-year-old has since been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Met Police say they were called to a residential address Oaks Road in Kenley to reports of a stabbing at 6:16pm on November 20.
The victim was found with fatal stab injuries, and despite the best efforts of emergency services he was declared dead at the scene at 6:50pm.
Paul McCarroll's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
A 34-year-old man, who police say was known to the victim, was then arrested nearby on suspicion of murder.
He was taken to a south London hospital for treatment to a minor injury and then into custody, where he remains.
Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating, and a crime scene remains in place as enquiries continue.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
