Flushed with success: The Red Lion and Pineapple in Acton
THREE Wetherspoon pubs in Ealing borough are acclaimed for the quality and standards of their toilets in the Loo of the Year Awards 2020.
The Red Lion & Pineapple in Acton High Street, The Sir Michael Balcon in The Mall, Ealing and The Greenwood Hotel in Whitton Avenue West, Northolt, were awarded a platinum rating by inspectors.
The awards are aimed at highlighting and improving standards of away-from-home toilets across the UK.
Inspectors make unannounced visits to thousands of sites to judge them.
Toilets are graded silver, gold, platinum or diamond with unacceptable examples not graded at all.
Red Lion and Pineapple manager Ryan Nagle said: "Staff ensure the toilets are in first-class condition at all times."
