A man is in hospital with a fractured skull after two Tube passengers were struck on the head with a hammer.
The man approached the victims at the Seven Sisters London Underground station last Thursday (October 29) just after 8pm.
British Transport Police (BTP) Officers said each victim were struck on the head with a hammer in an unprovoked attack.
Both of them received medical attention and didn't suffer life-changing or life-threatening injuries.
But one man remains in hospital where he is being treated for a fractured skull.
Officers have now released CCTV images of a man they believe could assist with their investigation.
BTP Inspector Gary Pinner said: "This is a concerning, unprovoked attack in a busy Underground station. We are really keen to trace and speak to the individual in the image.
"Thankfully, incidents like this are rare on the railway network and we have deployed reassurance patrols in the area."
If you recognise him, or have any information, please contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 455 of 29/10/20.
Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
