A Scotland Yard officer has been charged over a collision with a cyclist after a probe by the police watchdog.
Pc Eugene Acheampong, 27, is due to appear before magistrates to face a single count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said a cyclist was seriously injured after a collision with a marked police car being driven by Acheampong on August 3 last year.
The Metropolitan Police officer was investigating an incident on Sirdar Road in Wood Green.
Acheampong is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday after the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) authorised the charge following an IOPC investigation.
