Clocks are going back this Sunday, so thanks to daylight savings we gain an extra hour to enjoy our weekend. But what is there to do?

On the last Sunday of October the clocks 'fall back' which means that this Sunday, October 25, the clocks will go back an hour at 2am.

Clocks on smartphones and computers should update automatically but older analogue clocks and devices may need to be changed manually.

Daylight savings brings darker, longer nights and shorter days - clocks will go forward and we will lose an hour on Sunday, March 28 2021.

Luckily, there's loads to do here in Swindon whether you want to stay in or go outdoors.

Here are some of the things you could do with that extra hour this weekend:

Test yourself in the DB MAX 10k or 5k

Swindon Advertiser:

DB MAX have launched the #BeSafe virtual run event which allows us all to take part in a running competition safely.

There are a choice of 10k and 5k options as well as the chance to win some medals.

To take part you need to choose which medal you want to run for and print your race bib.

After completing the race you will find out your time online and the medal will be sent to you in the post.

Entry costs £7 and you must sign up before you start.

Visit Roves Farm, Sevenhampton

Swindon Advertiser:

Roves Farm is the ideal place for a day out with the family as there's loads to keep little ones entertained.

With a jam-packed programme of events there is a new activity every 45 minutes which includes meeting the animals, music time and animal racing.

Fancy dress is encouraged and the best dressed will win a prize in the daily competition.

Tickets cost £4 and booking is recommended.

Jazz on the corner at the Royal Oak

Swindon Advertiser:

Nestled in the heart of the Old Town, Sunday's at the Royal Oak are the perfect setting for a spot of indulgence and relaxation.

Serving up some of the best roasts in Swindon the Royal Oak has found a winning combination with their Sunday blues and jazz sessions.

Lunch is served from 12.30 to 4.30pm and the first music set starts at 3pm.

There is a limited capacity so booking is recommended.

Try your hand at American Football, Southbrook Playing Fields

The amateur American Football club, Swindon Storm, is offering a free taster session to people over the age of 18.

No experience is necessary to enjoy the day and all equipment is supplied.

The club state that more than 90-per-cent of people on the current team had never played before.

Tickets must be booked in advance and cost £5 per person.

Bottomless brunch

Swindon Advertiser:

Get the gang together and go out for bottomless brunch.

What better way to wind-away a Sunday than by booking in a spot with your friends for bottomless brunch?

We're lucky enough to be spoiled with choices for bars and restaurants in the area, many of which serve the modern weekend tradition.

If you're a fan of something a bit extra why not head to The Bank for a spoiling Sunday brunch of bottomless prosecco for £21.95.
