A pedestrian is in a critical condition in hospital after he was hit by a coach.

The emergency services were called to Argon Road, which runs parallel to the A406 in Edmonton, at around 7.50pm on Thursday (October 1).

The Met Police and London Ambulance Service had been called to reports of a collision involving a man and a coach.

Witnesses have told police that the man, believed to be aged in his 20s, was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by the coach.

He has been taken to hospital where his condition has been described by police as critical.

The man's next of kin are aware.

Police have launched an investigation into the collision and confirmed no arrests have been made at this stage.

The coach driver stayed at the scene of the crash.

The Met is asking anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision, or the events leading up to the collision, to contact them.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from any drivers who may have captured events on dashcam footage.
